Pensée 40
The utterly absent fear of God is, as I see it, the single greatest spiritual affliction of my day and age.

Pensée 39
What we choose to listen to as well as watch, I find is an interesting expression of our personalities and character. First, each is to be analyzed, what about the certain style of music or genre of TV show or movie compels us to it, and why we associate with it. Each genre of both audio and video then is a specific expression of a certain character trait, either expressed or suppressed. Therefore, the collection of both Audio and Visual Media one identifies with, can say a lot about that person depending on in what way that person associates with each. As we grow and change, so too do our tastes, however I am not entirely certain that our characters or personalities change, only that certain traits become expressed or suppressed. This then would be my explanation for why a man in his youth might enjoy one type of media, though identify with it less and less as he progresses through adulthood or even find it wholly distasteful. One might also take into account the ebb and flow of one's spiritual convictions as these too have an influence on one's tastes and how one comports one's self.
